Solo BJJ Training: 6 Wall Drills for Guard and Movement Work
A man stands against a black padded wall, ready to run through his solo drill routine. He starts with neck bridges, pushing his head and feet hard into the wall to build that neck strength fighters need. Then he moves into guard retention work, drilling the leg movements over and over until they're automatic. He flips upside down and walks on his hands toward the wall and back, testing his balance and shoulder endurance. Wall-assisted berimbolos come next, and he's moving from sitting to standing position fast, drilling the rotation pattern. He kicks through into wall planks, his core working overtime to hold the position. Finally, he's back on the wall running berimbolos again, rolling over his back repeatedly. Six different drills, no breaks, just constant movement and conditioning that'll pay off when someone's trying to pass his guard for real.
