Rorion Gracie opens Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Basics Vol. 3 where the previous tapes left off: you're mounted, and now it's time to finish. The first move is the paint-brush armlock. Elbow pinned to the ground, second hand under the wrist, lift the elbow up and drag the hand down toward your knee like a brush stroke. No thumb, no muscling. Just position and gravity doing the work.

But if the opponent starts pushing back, Rorion has an answer for that too. Both hands on the chest, hop up, swing the leg over, hip lifts. The armbar. One continuous motion. The arm that was trying to push you away is now the one getting broken.

Then the chokes. From inside the guard, wrap around the neck, second hand grabs the wrist under the chin, cross the legs, lean back, push them away with the legs while the arms pull tight. Or catch them lifting their head off the ground from the side and go around the neck from underneath with the whole body arching back.
