Big Guy Gets Choked Unconscious in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Street Fight
A smaller grappler faces off against a much larger bald opponent on the street in Brazil. The big guy stumbles forward and the smaller fighter sees his opening. He jumps on the bald man's back immediately and locks in a standing rear naked choke. The choke sinks in deep around the neck. But something's off with the technique. He doesn't put his hooks in. His legs dangle uselessly instead of controlling the hips.
The bald guy stands there taking the choke like he's never felt one before. He doesn't slam backwards. He doesn't spin. He doesn't bend forward to shake the smaller man off. He just stands upright while getting strangled. Someone in the background yells in Portuguese about people doing jiu jitsu here. The bigger man's face turns red. His arms start to drop. Within seconds his legs give out and both fighters collapse to the ground.
The smaller grappler holds the choke until his opponent goes completely limp. Then he releases and helps the unconscious man sit up. The bald guy wakes up confused about what just happened. Comments roast the lack of proper technique while admitting the result speaks for itself. No hooks, high position on the back, vulnerable to slams, but somehow it worked perfectly anyway.
Should the big guy have slammed backwards onto concrete? Would proper hooks have mattered against someone with zero defense?
